What is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media nad telecommunications industries? What is the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market?
What is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries?
As China becomes one of the members in WTO, it can have many effects from it. First, the media and telecommunications industries of China will become the investment of Hong Kong, Tai Wan and foreign capital company. This brings a lot of capital into China to push media and telecommunications industries of China. As they have much money, they can buy every necessary up to the minute so as to modernize the facilities in the company. This can improve their competitive to others. Second, the media and telecommunications industries of China may change to WTO system to cater for the expectation of the world. The media may need to open up. The government cannot control what they publish. Third, the intellectual property of all the publication is needed to protect. So the media in China cannot publish any publication with copyright. Fourth, they can employ the elite from other country. It can also improve its competitive. All in all, the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries is good to China as it can improve its competitive though having competitive with other country, such as have capital from Hong Kong, Tai Wan and foreign capital company, improvement of intellectual property of the publication and the likes.
What is the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market? The recent news report that Google is going to withdraw from China. Let us know what Google does first. It increases the number of transactions on the Internet by introducing many small Internet start ups into its own advertising network. Two, it increases the number of beneficiaries on the Internet as these small Internet entrepreneurs gain anything between Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh per month from Google for carrying advertisements . Three, it provides an incentive to people to move onto the Internet by beginning any small Internet venture. Four, it increases the footprint for an advertiser from a handful of sites to a huge number of sites which Google controls. So, how will Google's withdrawal from China affect the Chinese market? The answer is clearly that the Chinese market has gone back to the (Internet) dark ages whether or not people in China realize it now or not. It is similar to asking during India's socialist years during Mrs. Indira Gandhi's stewardship, "How does it matter if we have a fixed dollar to rupee exchange rate?" The answer came during Manmohan Singh's time when we had just about enough foreign exchange in 1991 to buy essential goods for two weeks. Those days with Indira’s so-called vision it was impossible to realize that the country was heading towards ruin. China is passing through a similar phase right now. Today, Beijing thinks creating cities like Shen-Zen in eight years and supplying melamine laced milk powder and lead painted toys to Mattel means success as the rest of the world cannot catch up to their manufacturing engine. Well, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, similarly the proof of modern day economics and catering to customers' needs is akin to giving the common citizen a good life. That incidentally, may not be a priority in Communist China but it is nevertheless important. The Internet by definition is an industry which deals with free thought. If 384 million users in China only had 100 million sites, which only spoke about government sponsored rules and regulations or their consequences then there would be little incentive to create unique and interesting sites with USP, which serves the customer. The customer again is a concept or creature of the free markets. In conclusion, the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market must not to good to China. It will only get back to the dark ages of the internet in China. So it is noteworthy to the effect of the withdrawal of Google after Google doing so.
The World Trade Organization is an organization that promo the trade all over the world, to be as a bridge between countries. The main point of the WTO is to maintain the fairness and equality between countries. Nowadays, the China government does not enclose the information of the country to the public, and it even does not allow the people live in China to access the international news. It is really hard for the general public to get information of the world in Mainland China. If China enters the WTO, China must be open up to the world. So, the media and telecommunication industries in China have to change.
First, the media and telecommunication industries can publish the information freely for the people live in China. The China government is now blocking the information in the world to the people live in China. The people in China just can not access to some foreign websites. As the government needs to let the media and telecommunication to publish the information, so the Chinese people can definitely be benefited. For example, people can access to the websites of the foreign organizations, which were blocked before. The Chinese people can be more convenient if they can visit whatever websites they want.
Secondly, the reporters of the magazines or newspapers can express their feelings of some sensitive political issues in China. Recently, the reporters are unable to express their feelings of the political issues in China. According to the Law in China, the China government may conduct a suit to them if they express their feelings on sensitive issues. If anyone breaks the rule, the china government will sue him or her, and he or she may have to put in the prison. I think that the China government does not respect the human right as the China government does not give the freedom of press and freedom of speech.
Furthermore, I think that the China government should really give more supports to the media and telecommunication industry. It is because it can help to give a better image of China to the world. Many people think that the action and attitude of the China government toward the media and telecommunication industry is so bad and they are not satisfied with the recent situation.
Last night, over ten thousand people use some software to try to overcome the program that the China government sets for blocking them to visit the foreign websites. The people in China call this action as ‘fen chang ‘ which means overcoming the ‘wall’ setting by the government. By this case, we can see that the Chinese people can not stand this unreasonable act by the government too.
The recent news about the China government and the public limited company is Google, the big searching engine company withdrawing its business in the Mainland China market. Google is a company that has tried to fight for the freedom of media in China. I think that Google's act will definitely add pressure to the China government and the other companies which can not stand the policy of the China government may follow Google. This is because Google is a big company and it is so contagious. Also, it will affect the people that are visiting Google everyday in China.
To sum up, if China enters the WTO, the media and telecommunication industry will have the freedom of press and freedom of speech, which they do not have before. And the Chinese people will be benefited as they can get the information around the world. In addition, it is a must for the China government to give more freedom to the media and telecommunication industry. If not, the 'Google' case will appear again and bring bad effects to itself.
China joined World Trade Organization (WTO) few years ago, after that, China is rapid developing in whatever perspectives, such as economic, political, and social,. And for the one of the most visible enhanced aspect is the media and telecommunication..
First of all, after took part in WTO, China is required to abreast of the international level of media and telecommunication, just like widen the spread of internet information and the transparency of social issues as well. For instance, China should let general public to share or express their opinion towards government or other negative news that will affected the image of China, as those negative news are not benefit to the surface image of China, thus, there had many news that are related to some seriously accident or infection disease were often prohibited by China government before China joins the WTO.
Secondly, WTO is an open platform for different countries to share, no matter are values, cultures or even economy. In fact, when every country is eager to reveal their internal routine, those countries must require China do the same at the moment. At the same time, the media habit of the western countries will be extended to China too. .For example, American teenagers always make comments on the Facebook or Twitter, such kind of on- line space for people to talk, when this popular culture spread throughout to Asia, then the Chinese teenager may imitation those act, and begin to put opinion of some other websites.
As the result, the media and the telecommunication in China will be much opened and disclose with the comparison with has not accession to the WTO.
Google announced withdrawal from China market in January 2010, as Google think they are not able to bear the censorship from China government, and Google are deciding to close its Google.cn portal and pull out of China. The impacts of this incident as follows:
Firstly, as the aspect of economic, as we know that, Google is the biggest as well as the famous search engine among the world, however, from the incident of Google leaving China, most people from the worldwide will think of even the best website (or company) in the international still not able to handle the strict censorship in China. Then the other company from the world may challenge to they ability to life in China. Eventually, many rare chances will be missed for China’s better economic development.
In term of political, the quit of Google may lead the international link to the concealment behavior in the internet of China easily. As China is seldom reveal their disadvantage issues to the world, and it will affect the desire of other country to invest or even to expand their business to China, less cooperation of China, and finally cause the political difficulties either.
Lastly, as the perspective of social, the leaving of Google is the big disaster of China’s netizen or even the general public, as Google is a most common searching engine among the world, it is very convenient, responsible and comfortable for people to utilize, not merely searching information, together with checking dictionary or even sending email, Google is the best website in the world. And it is the huge lost of Chinese.
To conclude, whatever in the perspective of social, economic or political, there still involving the impact of Google’s withdrawal, therefore, as my point of view, I think China should try to reconsider their act in the internat after this event and correct the shortcoming points.
China’s accession to the WTO causes some impacts on its media and telecommunications industries. The impacts are as follow. In my opinion, these impacts are positive.
First, the media and telecommunications industries in China become more opened than before because of China’s accession to WTO. In the past, media and telecommunications industries in China were monitored by the government seriously. They didn’t have freedom of speech and freedom of press. The government had the authority to do the last modification. Therefore, media and telecommunications industries could not publish freely, their works would be modified until they were satisfied. For example, the government could modify the publication before publishing till the government felt good on it. Because of that, Chinese residents could not know much of the truths or news that was related to China and even foreign countries.
Fortunately, China’s accession made a change on this situation. After China’s accession, media and telecommunications industries can publish more freely now. For example, publishers can publish something related to ‘taboo’. It is really good news for China residents. It is because they can know the truths and news of China and foreign countries now.
Second, owing to being freely, media and telecommunications industries in China can do different promotions and business. Therefore, more private companies can participate in media and telecommunications industries. And thus, the whole market in China can be increased in size. It benefits in economic aspect. For instance, media and telecommunications industries can cooperate with different private companies.
In conclusion, China’s accession causes some positive impacts on its media and telecommunications industries. They have freedom of speech and freedom of press, and also blooming in economics.
In January, Google was attacked by Chinese hacker, so that it wanted to withdraw from China market. Because of this, Google has the argument with China.
In my opinion, the withdrawal of Google from China market causes some negative impacts. They are as below.
First, the withdrawal of Google results in the monopoly of Baidu on searching engine. It will finally result in less of choices of Chinese residents. It is bad for them indeed. Baidu is one of the major searching engines in China, if Google is withdrawn from China market, most Chinese will choose to use Baidu. Google fights for freedom of news, but Baidu is monitored by China, not everything can be searched. Therefore, if Chinese use Baidu as the main searching engine, they may not be able to search the truths. It will blind people’s eyes. For example, people want to search something related to China central government through Baidu. However, government may block some websites that are related to ‘taboo’. Hence, people cannot find the blocked information although they want to search for it.
Second, the withdrawal of Google may result in breaking relationship with China. Since Google had promised to China that Google will obey the laws of China, after breaking down the promise, China feels angry on it. Therefore, their relationship will be destroyed.
In conclusion, I don’t agree with the withdrawal of Google from China market as it will cause some bad impacts on both Google and China.
According to Wikipedia, The World Trade Organization (WTO) is an international organization designed by its founders to supervise and liberalize international trade. The organization officially commenced on January 1, 1995 under the Marrakech Agreement, replacing the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), which commenced in 1947. China joined WTO in 2001. First, the media and telecommunication’s speech are restricted by the china government. That means if they say something that the government do like, the government will punish them. So they are afraid and just the things that the government like. After China joining WTO, the media and telecommunication will have the freedom of speech. The WTO will protect them away from the punishment of the China government.
Many foreign websites are also restricted. For instance: Google and so on. But after China joining WTO, more and more websites can be visited now. Then the people can know more about the foreign countries.
In conclusion, China’s association makes the speech of the media and telecommunication freer.
Google is one of the biggest website in the world and many people use it every day. Google withdrawal from the China markets in January 2010. This becomes a hot topic in recent months.
First of all, in the aspect of economic, if the other companies hear this news, they may think that China is not a suitable place to work or invest because the hacker will attack them. They may lose confidence for investing in China. Thus, China will earn less money.
In the aspect of social, the China citizen will lose a tool for searching things on internet. It will causes inconvenience to the China citizens.
To sum up, the withdrawal of Google will cause negative effect.
China joined World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2001 as 143rd member. According to the official website of WTO, it state that WTO deals with the rules of trade between nations at a global or near-global level. In other words, WTO keeps all the trade fair. So it brings a lot of impacts to China, the media and telecommunication industries of China also affected.
Firstly, after China joined WTO, the international telecommunication companies from other countries will combine with the companies in China. It is because there are a lot of people live in China and the cost of operating a company in China is lower than other countries. As a result, if all the telecommunication companies combine with other companies, China cannot maintain the original characteristics of China telecommunication companies.
Second, the media and telecommunication industries of China need to be more competitive due to they need to compete with other media and telecommunication industries in other countries, not only in China. As a result, the companies in China need to pay a lot of money for enhancing their competitiveness. For instant, the companies need to have a more advanced technology which requires a large amount of money in order to compete with other companies.
To sum up, after China’s accession to the WTO, it will increase the pressure of the media and telecommunication industries in China. It is because although the companies in China can employ people from other countries, the companies still need to pay a large amount of money.
Recently, there are some news stated that Google will withdraw from China market. Google withdraw from China because China government does not cancel the internet blocking of some foreign website and words that is about the government. This action will cause some bad impacts to China.
The China citizens lose a platform to search from the internet. As a result, it will bring some inconvenience to the China citizen and they may need to find another way to search for information.
Moreover, Google withdraw China market this case may give some bad international impressions of China to the whole world, for example: the China government does not care the will of the citizens (cancel the internet blocking), China citizens do not have freedom of speech and so on.
Furthermore, this case also reflects the problem of China government which is the government does not give enough freedom to the citizen, and this will decrease the international status of China.
All in all, both China’s accession to WTO and Google withdraw from the China market will have some bad impact to China, such as, after China’s accession to WTO the telecommunication companies in China need to pay money for increasing their competitiveness, give bad impressions of China to the whole world after Google withdraw from the China market and so on. So I think China government need to take some actions to solve these problems and increase the international status of China.
Since China accessed to the WTO, media and telecommunications industries have changed a lot. The accession to the WTO has influenced China’s media and telecommunications industries through different ways.
First of all, after China has joined the WTO, China need to loosen the restrictions for western businessmen operating China’s media and telecommunications companies. Hence, local companies need to upgrade their facilities and technology in order to be competitive. The competition between media and telecommunications companies benefits the consumers most. Cheap and convenient services are generated in this competition.
Second, these services encourage the flow of information. However, China used to control the flow of public opinions and information for maintaining its dictature. Due to China’s accession to the WTO, China cannot control the flow of information anymore. The media and telecommunications industries have more freedom of publication. Therefore, they have the freedom to express opinions that complaining the government.
Last but not least, flow of culture is promoted by the flow of information. Western culture is assimilating China’s culture. For example, the concept of “freedom” in Chinese’s minds rooted in the culture from western. Since consumers fight for more freedom, the media is affected by them. The media and telecommunications industries will support them and provide channels for them to express their voice.
To conclude, China’s accession to the WTO has influenced the media and telecommunications industries economically, politically and culturally.
In my point of views, Google’s withdrawal from China’s market caught international attention to the human rights issue in China.
First, Google is a worldwide search engine company. Its market share all over the world is around 65%. And its market share in mainland China is 30%. This grave commercial decision made by Google really caused a lot of responses. People around the world start paying attention to the restriction problem in China.
Moreover, the withdrawal from China gives support to those who fight for freedom in China virtually. A large-scale company withdraw from China’s market because of the restrictions. China’s netizens will think that they are not alone in the war for freedom. Hence, their action will be more drastic. The “fanqiang” behaviour is a convincing example.
Undoubtedly, Google’s withdrawal from China’s market does bring a lot of impacts. And it means a lot to the war for freedom. Hope that freedom will come to China soon.
According to Wikipedia, the World Trade Organization (WTO) is an international organization designed by its founders to supervise and liberalize international trade. After 15 years of protracted negotiations, China has eventually joined the WTO as the 143rd member on 11 December 2001. Being a WTO member, China enjoys the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) treatment accorded by all WTO member economies in the international trade of goods and services.
There are many impact of China’s Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries.
First, the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries is good for China, it can improve the ability to compete with other countries. By joining WTO, China had a more international state and received a better acceptance from the whole world so as to improve the competitiveness of China’s media and telecommunications industries. Moreover, China can received more business from other countries by having a more international image, so it is benefit for the economic of China. Also, by having more proceeds, the company can enlarge their size and scope.
Second, after China joined the WTO, China’s media and telecommunications industries have more freedom to punlish all the informations in China. Their works cannot controled or limited by the Government anymore. They can express their feeling and opinions in all issues and debate. The media and telecommunications industries can enjoy the freedom of press and freedom of speech. Nowadays, the media can’t punlish some issues, such as some criticism to the Government and some sensitive issues. After China joined the WTO, the media also can open up to the foreign countries, so as the media of China can step forward to the whole world, to promote a better and a more international state for China by China’s Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries.
In a nutshell, the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries is good to China, it brings a better and a more international image to China, so as to increase the competitiveness of China. Also, the media and telecommunications industries can enjoy the freedom of press and freedom of speech. Therefore, the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries is good to China.
Google is a Internet search technologies corporation. According to wikipedia, Google hosts and develops a number of Internet-based services and products, and generates profit primarily from advertising through its AdWords program. Googel withdraw from China at 23rd March, it change its services from China to Hong Kong, but still keep the research and development in China. It is because China block and limited lot of services of google and have examine all the survices, after examined, the services of Google can open up to the public..
First, there are lof of impacts of Google's withdrawal from China market. Other countries may think that China didn’t care and respect the foreign company, so they may not gave business to China anymore. Moreover, Google is a big company, other company may afraid that the government of China will take the same action to them, so they won’t set a company in China. Therefore, it may affect the economic of China.
Second, the withdraw of Google may cause lof of inconvenients to the public, they can’t search information easily. It affect the whole society.
In sum, Google's withdrawal from China market caused bad effects to China.
What is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries? The World Trade Organization is a channel for each country make common consensus and it is a kind of globalization. According to Wikipedia, the principles of WTO is to advocate non-discrimination, reciprocity, Binding and enforceable commitments, transparency and safety valves. After China has joined to the WTO, the development of economics and social has a great improvement. But in fact, it brings some impacts on its media and telecommunications industries in both good and bad.
China's accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries brings two bad impacts.
First, China needs to compete with other countries. China is the world factory due to its cheap cost of production. However, after joining WTO, China would not keep in cheap cost of production sometimes since the other counties have cheaper cost of production, such as India, Vietnam and Thailand. China becomes more difficult to keep the advantages.
Second, China becomes difficult to control its media and telecommunications industries. The policy of China is autarchic, the media has been controlled in many years, and China government had concealed many facts. After joining WTO, China should keep high transparency in different perspectives.
However, the accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries brings good impacts.
First, it is a chance enhances the competitive of China media and telecommunications industries. As we know that, the development of foreign media and telecommunications industries is advanced. The condition of media and telecommunications industries is straggle. It is disadvantageous to China companies when they compete with foreign industries as they have poorer development on media and telecommunications industries. After joining WTO, China’s media and telecommunications industries can receive updated information from outside and become more competitive.
Second, it can attract a lot of oversea advertisement. Since China has a large labor force and cheaper salary, it lower the production cost of businessmen, China become a good place for businessmen open some industries. China’s media and telecommunications industries have more capital for them to develop. Last, it fosters the economic development of China.
Third, it can enhance China’s international status. Most of the essential decisions are made by WTO, China can voice out their opinion after joining WTO. This is better than become speechless and have nothing to do when the other countries are deciding some important decision.
To sum up, China's Accession to the WTO brings a lot of advantages which can foster the development of China. China will be much opened and high transparent when compare with the past.
What is the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market?
Since the Google was attacked by China hacker and China restrict the freedom of speech that China don’t cancel leach of searching engine and the controlled gateways that block access to material deemed subversive or pornographic., Google is going to withdrawal from China market. This decision cause many impacts.
First, it destroys the image of China. Foreign countries focus on the human rights, especially freedom of speech. However, Google's withdrawal from China market reveal China’s human right is insufficient which is violation the human rights. After the image is affected, foreign people may don’t come to China and result in decrease of economy and tourism.
Second, it brings inconvenient of China’s netizen. Google is the biggest search engine in the world, many countries are depending on it and much useful information is from Google. China’s netizen could not share useful information anymore after Google withdraw from China.
Third, China closes a door that can connect to the world. Google is a international search engine, only depending on Baidu, SoHu or SoSo can’t help Chinese connect to the world. Both the information from China or Foreign courtiers is sealed; it would lower the competitive of China.
Fourth, the relationship of China and Google is deteriorating. Google just want to fight with the freedom of speech, but China government doesn’t disagree. It would not only affect the Chinese daily life, the relationship between China and Google become tense which is bad for the diplomacy.
In conclusion, Google's withdrawal from China market does brings a lot of bad impacts. It is important to having a win-win solution. I think both side of Google and China government should communicate more so as to make same agreements, Otherwise, the dilemma between China and Google will be worsen, and it is one the first steps towards Communist China's doom and break-up . The most important point is: the Internet is a global nation.
1) What is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries?
Through fifteen years of negotiation, China has become a member of WTO officially since 11st December 2001. According to Wikipedia, it is the longest negotiating time in WTO. After China entered into WTO, there is a fast development in different aspects, including its media and telecommunications industries. And the impacts of China’s Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries are as below.
First of all, as China joined the WTO, more and more global media capitals enter China’s market for investment. And then, a large amount of advanced technology and information get into China. Finally, it could enhance China’s competitiveness among other countries. Besides, it could foster the development of media and telecommunications industries.
Second, after China’s Accession to the WTO, China has to obey the regulations of WTO. China needs to open the media and telecommunications industries to foreign countries. Because of that, Chinese citizens could receive many external news and information, and widen their horizons
Lastly, China’s Accession to the WTO brings many positive impacts to China. It totally increases China’s competitiveness and national status and widens the Chinese citizens’ horizon…
2) What is the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market?
In 2005, Google Company entered China’s market. After few years, it becomes very popular and wide using by the Chinese netizen. However, Google chose to withdraw from China market in January of 2010. This incident brings many negative impacts on China market. And the impacts are as follow.
First of all, as Google withdrew from China, the Chinese Netizen may lose one of the important platforms for receiving the external information. And the Chinese netizen would also have less chance to learn and meet friends through Google.
Second, Google’s withdrawal from China market may destroy the image of China and affect the economic development. Since the media and telecommunications capitalists and the foreigners may think that China is an authoritarian country which has no freedom and human right. And then, they may not choose to enter into China market. Finally, it may influence its development in economy, media and communications.
Lastly, I think that Google’s withdrawal from China market is totally bad for the development of China.
What is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries?
In 2001,China has been the 143rd member of World Trade Organization (WTO). WTO provides many opportunities and challenges to China. Hence, it brings not only the good impacts on its media and telecommunications industries, but also the bad impacts.
Firstly, it can enhance the transparency of China. No matter the aliens or Chinese themselves, they can also know more about China such as the news in China. In the past, China lacked transparency like sealing the negative news of China. After entering into WTO, China eventually improves its transparency. Cite the earthquake in Szechwan as an example. China allows the journalists covering the news about the earthquake in China. Then, the other countries could give a helping hand to China. Thus, it verily benefits to China in such way.
Nevertheless, it can also spoil Chinese international image. When the foreign countries know the negative news such as the fake and poison Chinese foods, corruption, and the like. Then, it can shows that China's Accession to the WTO also brings the negative impacts.
Secondly, in terms of free trade, it can attract many foreign investments in China. There is free movement of labor between and within countries and the free movement of capital between and within countries. Then, many alien companies like computer companies and branded companies will go to China and build factories there. These companies will also employ the Chinese workers. Then, it can motivate China's economy and bring prosperity. Moreover, it can enhance the competitiveness of China too.
However, the free trade can not benefit the Chinese farmers. When free trade implemented in China, it attracts many competitors of the Chinese farmers go to China. They snatch the local customers. Nevertheless, China does not give subsidies to the farmers. Then, the farmers live harder than before merely.
All in all, I think there must be some good impacts and bad impacts on China after China's Accession to the WTO. While China enjoys the advantages of being a member of WTO, it also need to take action to remedy its disadvantages.
What is the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market?
On March 30, 2010, Google withdrew from China market so as to express their discontent with some behaviours of Chinese government. Hence, the Google's users can not use Google to search things. Some people think that Google's withdrawal is not a big deal, but some do not think so.
Firstly, the people in China lack one platform for doing research. They can not search information by using Google. Then, they can not search things widely. It shows that they will search things narrower than before. Therefore, it will cause little inconvenience.
Secondly, it may destroy Chinese image. As Google is a large-scale media company, it has international influence. When Google withdrew from China market, it will let the foreigners think that the problem causer is China. Thus, it may change the view of the aliens. Then, it may indirectly affect China's economy.
In conclusion, I think this incident has a certain impact on China. I think the Chinese government should have reflection on its own behaviour and try to improve it. Then, it won't happen similar incident anymore.
The Chinese Government did not allow the Chinese citizens to access the internet freely; the Chinese government would block the information if that is against the government. After the China’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), this situation may be improved. Below are some impacts that China’s accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industry.
First, In order to follow the rules of the WTO, the publications in China which publish by the media and the telecommunications industry can widespread around the internet as they have to reach the international standard for the media and telecommunications industry. So, the Chinese citizens can know more about the real social issues even that is negative to China in stead of the news that the Chinese government has filtered.
Second, the media and telecommunications industry in China will become more open than before. As one of the principles of the multilateral trading system is Predictability and Stability, which means commitment to open markets are binding and trade policies should be transparent. As China become more open and the transparency of China increase. It attracts more firms and foreign investors come to China to start their business. If there are more media and telecommunications industry in China, it will increase the competition between the firms and hence the quality of the product made by the firms can enhance. Also, it provides many choices for the Chinese citizens. So, it can benefit the Chinese citizens.
To sum up, I think the accession of China to the WTO bring many positive effect on the media and telecommunication communication industry, more and more websites can be visited, and the open of China allow the foreign investor start their business in China and thus can benefit the China citizens.
Recently, Google announce that it is going to withdraw from China market because of the hacker problems in China. So, what impacts would bring if Google withdraw from China?
First, the withdrawal of Google will results in the monopoly of Baidu. As the market share of Google and Baidu is much bigger than other in China. And thus, the netizens in China may have fewer choices on the searching engine. And since Google is an international searching engine, if it withdraws from China, the netizens cannot connect to the world.
Second, it may affect the image of China to the world, as there are many hacker problems, no foreigner would like to come to China to set up their business, as a result, it may lower the competitiveness to the world. Apart from that, the withdrawal of Google is due to the restriction of China, so this event may draw the attention of people to the restriction problem in China.
Overall speaking, I think that the withdrawal of Google from China brings negative impacts to China, it may affect the image of China to the world and it may cause inconvenience to the netizens in China. I hope that these problems can be solved by the Chinese government in the future.
What is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media nad telecommunications industries?
after China has eventually joined the WTO as the 143rd member on 11 December 2001. Being a WTO member, there are many impact of China's accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunication industries.
First, China can attract the foreign investment on the ground of its cheaper production cost. Most of the investigator would like to establish and set up a company in China, and much capital, advanced technology and information will enter to China’s market. Moreover, China’s population is 130 millions. Therefore, the businessman will improve their product quality for the sake of to be obtained by Chinese. Chinese can have better quality of different kinds of goods such as food, drinks, and clothes.
Second, WTO encourages the flow of information. China has to obey the regulation of WTO. That means China government can not control the speech of all citizens anymore. Therefore, the media and telecommunications industries have more freedom of publication and they can enjoy their freedom to express opinions.
Third, the transparency of China can be enhanced. And the aliens can know more China. However, it may bring a negative effect because of the bad news, such as different kinds of poisonous food. Then they will have a bad impression of China. Also, the farmer in China can not be assisted because of the restriction of WTO. Therefore, many farmers even can not satisfy the basic need in life. Notwithstanding, the government can not give a helping hand to them.
In conclusion, i think the merits of the China's Accession to the WTO on its media nad telecommunications industries prevails disadvantages, the citizens can eventually be benefited and improve the living standard.

What is the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market?
As Google is attacked by Chinese hacker and the restriction on speech in China. Google has decided to withdraw from China market on 30 March 2010 to express their discontent to China government. This decision may bring lots of bad effect to Chinese.
First, Google is one of the biggest searching engines around the world. There are more that 100 millions users. People can search information and data from it. If Google withdraws from China, Chinese will lose an important platform to search from the internet. Although there is another searching engine, YAHOO, but it can not cater for all users.
Second, it may destroy the international image of China. Since Google is one of the most important internets which is useful and Chinese could be helped. However, the government haven't think about what is citizens' need and reject canceling the internet-blocking to Google. Therefore, others may think that China government never consider about its citizens.
Third, Google is one of the biggest companies in the world in terms of values and customers. If they withdraw from China market. The other investigatosr will have no confidence to keep investing in China anymore, and economic loss will be resulted.
In conclusion, Google's withdrawal from China market brings a lot of negative effects to Chinese. I think the China government should manage to improve the condition, and give way to Google’s request.
In 2001, China entered into the World Trade Organization which is a well-known association. China’s media and telecommunications industries developed rapidly in recent years. What is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries?
Firstly, as WTO promotes equality and fairness in international trade. China has to obey this rule and stop controlling the information flow. This will foster the development of some sectors such as media and telecommunications sectors as they can obtain different kinds of information from the market and make timely business decision.
Secondly, when China entered the WTO, it has to open up its market. As a result, some foreign companies can enter the media and telecommunications market and this is a blessing to the local companies. The foreign corporations may bring some new technologies, capital and experts into China, this can enhance the competitiveness of the local firms.
Recently, Google announced that it would withdraw from China in April because of the censorship on information flow, this will make far-reaching impacts on the development of media and telecommunications industries.
First of all, the withdrawal may hinder the investment on the two industries in China. As Google is the dominator in the market, the foreign investors will lose their confidence in doing the same nature of business in China because even a worldwide company cannot work normally, this revealed the censorship on information flow in China is too stringent. Eventually, they do not invest in the China’s media and telecommunications sectors, this will affect the development of the sectors.
What is more, the withdrawal of Google may trigger off chaos in the market. As Google is the biggest searching engine in China, a lot of citizens use its functions such as searching information, Google maps and so on. After the withdrawal, they need to use the services of other corporations but those firms may not be well-developed, they are not capable of responding to such a high-utility rate and disorder appears in the market.
On the above grounds, the Accession to the WTO is a blessing to China’s media and telecommunications industries, it can foster the development of the sectors and let citizens use a great variety of products. However, the withdrawal of Google has affected the overall business environment of China.
After the entry to World Trade Organisation, China is faced to a serious of changes and impact.
The media in China cannot enjoy freedom of speech, it needs the examination of Chinese Government before release to the public. Therefore, to cover the scandals, the Chinese media are not allowed to report the scandals.
When the Hongkongers watch the news report in a Mainland broadcast company, it is easy to discover that, its news is not real and useless. Thus, the Mainland's news do not have newsworthiness and no referential value.
However, after the entry to WTO, everything is changed. In order to promote the fair trade globally, it requires a liberal platform for exchanging information freely cross-country. As a result, the China no longer can cover their scandals secretly without disclosing to the world because foreigners need to know more about the business environment of China. The Chinese media has to be revolutionalised.
Besides, the Chinese seems to aware of the significance of freedom of press, which can help improve their living standard. Recently, 12 newspaper in China conveyed their request on modifying a policy. The editors of these newspaper were fired. This reflexes the Chinese citizens also eager to have freedom of speech in order to let the government to know about their wants and needs. The media no longer want to controlled by government, they want to be independent.
Nonetheless, the government afraid the independence of Chinese media will lead to the unstability of Communist Party status. She still does not want to delegate the power of freedom of press to them. Even other foreign media companyies want to enter China market, she demands them to close the 'bad' websites. Finally, she is result in the fierce disagreement from foreign company.
Lately, the Google's withdrawal from China market since it is unhappy with Chinese hackers, gain the high concern in the world. It even threaten the relationship between USA and China. Many people hopes Google will give up this decision as it brings negative impact to China.
The withdrawal lead to the monopoly of Baidu. According to a research, the major research engine that the Chinese netizen use is Baidu and the second is Google. If google really withdraw from China market, all the google users will go to use Baidu and thus result in the phenomenon of monopoly of Baidu. The Chinese netizens will have less choices to use research engine.
On the other hand, other foreign companies will not enter the China market. Since the world's biggest networking company Google withdraw from China, they are dare enough to enter by considering China is really terrible. Thus, its economy will be suffered.
Besides, it also worsen the relationship between China and United States of American. The White House expressed its anger and disappointment towards China but China refuse the truth and insist that every foreign companies enter China must obey her law and regulations, so US should not interfere her internal affairs.
To sum up, the accession to WTO of China lead to the great impact and its media industry. The media needs freedom of speech and publication so as to reach the requirement of the world. China should follow the rule of game of the world. Otherwise, she will be stripped.
What is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries?
In 2001, China is the 143rd member joined into the World Trade Organization (WTO). According to Wikipedia, WTO is an organization that deals with regulation of trade between participating countries and provides a framework for negotiating and formalizing trade agreements. So, after China entered, they have to reform and opening up to the world. Media and telecommunications industries are one of the aspects being affected.
First of all, the development of technology in China has a great progress after accessed the WTO. As we know, the media and telecommunication of China was inferior the foreign countries like U.S.A before. Formerly, primary production contributes the most the China economy. Thus, the phone and television are not well-known by the general. There was just a part of rich man use. When China joins to WTO, China has a big improvement by consulting the experience of other countries good in media and telecommunication.
Second, it can benefit to the economy of China. As China has a certain status in the world, and the development of technology advanced, more businessmen are going to invest in the company of China. In addition, China is called “World Factory”, which means it is the manufacturing center of the world. There are the cheapest labors, land, and making staffs, more and more businessmen in the world would set up the factories there in order to get the highest profit.
At last but not the least, the public can express their opinions and publish information freely. In order to keep a good image, some bad news of China were forbidden to publish. If these news revealed, the author would seized by the government. It was really terrible. The people therefore would be careful about what they say. Nowadays, the general have freedom of speech and freedom of press because of the accession of China to the WTO.
To sum up, after the accession of China to the World Trade Organization, the media and telecommunication industries helps a lot in China’s development especially in economic aspect. Also, the people have freedom to speech. So it is really good for both the country and public.
What is the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market?
A few months ago, China has blocked the website, Google, because some coarse languages were found there. Hence, Google officially withdrawal from China market on March 30, 2010. Google is the international search engine, where can get the latest information immediately; It will bring negative impacts on China as the follow.
First, the general public would loss a platform for searching and receiving information. Other than Google, the people can only use the local search engine, like Baidu. But these local search engines cannot search the foreign websites. It is inconvenience for people to know the oversea information. Besides, these website are always filtrate the bad news before publish by the government. It will also hinder the rights of general to know the original fact of news.
Second, it will affect the economy in China. As I mentioned above that most of the websites are monitoring by the government, this will give a bad impression the others. Besides, the case of Google's withdrawal from China market is going to prove the others that the Chinese government restricts the freedom the speech of public. It will affect the confidence of the investment in Chinese business. Foreign companies might have to think deeply whether they should cooperate with China or not.
Personally, I think that China is too impetuous to block the Google website. Although China can control the thought of the China’s netizen, they can control what the outsiders think about China. This time, China really did the wrong thing to destroy its international image. It is hoped that China would think about the consequence before action.
What is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries?
11-12-2001 has been an important date for China as it joined the World Trade Organization (also known as WTO). Without any doubts, China can benefit from being connected to the world economy. Not only on economic aspect, has the accession to the World Trade Organization of China made a certain impact on its media and telecommunications industries, both positive impacts and negative ones.
First, as China has joined the World Trade Organization, it has to obey its rules, including media transparency. China cannot control the flow of information which is what it used to do; therefore media industries have more freedom than before. Yet, there are negative impacts brought along by this, some negative news would be revealed and the global image of China may be affected.
Second, after joining the World Trade Organization, more and more overseas companies would invest in China, these companies bring many advanced technology to China. China’s technology was comparatively less advance while compare with other countries, and this can improve China’s competitiveness in telecommunications industries.
In conclusion, China’s accession to the World Trade Organization brings to China good impact on the media and telecommunication industries. There is higher level of transparency of information and therefore foster media industries; overseas companies can also enhance China’s telecommunications industries’ competitiveness.
1. What is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries?
Since 2001, China has become the 143rd member of World Trade Organization (WTO). After the accession, many aspects of China have changed a lot, including the media and telecommunications industries. The following is the changes in these two aspects.
First, the technology of the media and telecommunications are advanced because many international media companies have entered China’s market. It enhanced the competitiveness of China among other countries. As a result, the media and telecommunications industries can be fostered. In addition, the economy of China can also be increased.
Second, after joining WTO, China has to follow the rules of WTO. That is China cannot interrupt the policies of the media and telecommunications industries. In the past, China always blocked the negative news of itself. It enhances the transparency of China so that the citizen can receive more information than before. In addition, the freedom of press is enhanced. Also the image of China becomes better.
In conclusion, China's Accession to the WTO brings a lot of positive impacts on its media and telecommunications industries such as the advanced of technology. Besides, it enhances China’s economy and international image.
2. What is the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market?
Recently, the famous searching engine, Google has announced to withdraw from China in April because the Chinese government made some regulation on information flow, it will cause a lot of extensive impacts.
First, the citizens in China will lose a way to search information. Although they can use the local searching engines such as Baidu, they can only search the websites in China. It causes inconveniences on the people who want to get foreign information. Besides, China always filtrate the negative news in those websites, the citizens cannot know more about the bad news of China.
Second, the economy of China will decline. The withdrawal of Google is because of the unfree information in China. This news will affect other countries’ impressions on China. The withdrawal of Google is the best evidence for indicating China is not country with high freedom. It may cause the foreign companies’ investment in China. As a result, the economy of China will be decreased.
To sum up, the Netizens in China will lose a way to search information and the economy will be decreased. Hope the Chinese government do not keep interrupting the information flow in order to build up a good image among other countries.
1.What is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries?
When China became one of the member in WTO, it had so many effect, including media and telecommunications industries. Firstly, the investment of foreign countries about media and telecommunications industries will increase. Secondly, the Hi-tech technique and technology of foreign countries can be import in this time. Thirdly, the competitive of China's media and telecommunications industries because of WTO and globalization will increase. Finally, I think China's Accession to the WTO brings a lot of positive impacts on its media and telecommunications industries.
2.What is the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market?
Google is a one of the main searching engine of the world and have a large of people to use it. Firstly, Chinese will lose a good way to find information. The searching engine in China is control by Chinese government, this searching engine cannot find the bad or negetive information about China because of the control and the Chinese cannot know. Secondly, the foreign companies maybe leave the market of China because Google's withdrawal from China market. The foreign companies think China is not a good market. This will have the bad effects of China's economy and international image of China. Therefore, Google's withdrawal from China market is bad for China.
I think that if some researchings, such as google withdrawal a Chinese marketwhich have 13 billions populations, they actually lost money very much. However if those researchings choose to do so, it could be reflected how harsh Chinese Communist Government is. After google withdrawal China, many messagers feel not convinient to enter their e-mail, and slower the speeds of hk google researchings, also I think that this action might make more Chinese pepole focus on the freedom of speech and mainland political policies. Mainland China seriously monitor the researings, the propuses are avoid them to send something that discontect with them and to find out some addresses about someone have various opinions, those can show a dictatorship's governments' behaviours. To be obiously, when these incidents go on to happen, China would lose the other countries' trustful and fewer foreign companies enter to China, may influence Chinese tradings with overseas, even Chinese economy.
4C Yu Ka Chun Well done as a first attempt to share your opinions on the blog. You have got a lot of good points. Better still if you try to elaborate and illustrate them in more details. Good work! Keep on sharing your ideas on the blog
The World Trade Organization (WTO) was established on 1st January, 1995, and it’s headquarter is set in Switzerland, Geneva. The establishment of WTO symbolizes the wide spreading of globalization, and become the cornerstone of business negotiation. The organization aim at publishing the free trade, construct a trade standard which is available in every country. After China had joined this treaty, it leads to a reformation in national telecommunication industries; barriers are reduced and have a tremendous impact on government, citizen and mass media.
To the government, joining the WTO means to open the market of telecommunication. By permitting foreign mass media to enter China, the competition between the mass media becomes greater and this fosters the development of telecommunication industry. At the meantime, the authority need to emphasize on the freedom of press so as to guarantee the rights of mass media, the presses come as a powerful force in shaping government policies, government can no longer implement the policy solely by their willing. These changes force China to establish a government of integrity and transparency, which is a headache to the authority.
In the eyes of mass media, China’s accession to the WTO does well to the progress of their industry. Indeed, press wields a great power in mainland China now; it keeps a vigilant eye on the activities of the government and advocate social reform. In the past, mass media do not have the freedom of press even something it told is true, just like June forth, fortunately, there are some changes after China take part in WTO, mass media can uphold social justice with less worry, less danger. It’s really a improvement of humanity.
Also, citizen can be benefited from the reform of telecommunication. When there are les restrain on mass media after China access WTO, the press brings to light social unfair, it can publishes the grievances of the public and fight for the cause of people. In other words, the presses are able to become the mouthpiece of the people; it helps to promote social harmony.
In Short, the China’s accession to WTO have a lot of advantages on the development of press, it is a significant progress at human rights and democracy.
However, the internet safety arouses plenty of problems in recent months. Beijing has increasingly restricted web freedoms. To express its resentment, Google has declared it would not hesitate to pull out of the China market. This is the first time a well-known Western Company has openly defied the Chinese authorities, which disregard freedoms and human rights.
This incident hinders the development of telecommunication industry as the netizen can not access to the global in some easier ways, make other transnational company may not come to China because of this bad example. Thus, this issue not only destroys the economy (media) and harmony, but also affects the life of citizen.
Meanwhile the withdrawal of Google make China to become an isolated is land in the Internet world, it prevent its people from keeping abreast of the world, merely allow Chinese people to have internet services with Chinese characteristics. Actually, Central Government’s policy to cut China off from the Internet world is only breeding contradictions, which hamper its normal overall development of the “peaceful rise”.
In conclusion, China’s accession to WTO is conducing to the development of telecommunication yet the Google incident isn’t. They both have a far-reaching influence to the telecommunication industry.
What is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries?
In 2001, China joined the World Trade Organization (WTO). After a few years, she has a rapid increase in economy. This made lots of developed countries like U.S.A. invest in China. As China is a member of WTO. She can get fair trade with other countries. As a result, different types of industries can be improved easily. The most influence industries are the media and. There are many impacts in this industry.
First, when China joined to the WTO, investors of other countries did not have high expectation on developing in telecommunications industries. So, there is a high potential in development. After that, a large amount of capital, technology, and experts are invests into the telecommunications industries. As a result, the development of telecommunications industries increases quickly.
Second, accession to the WTO make China open up to the outside world easily. In the past, China did not report any political issues to the outside world just North Korea. Those were the days. Nowadays, the media and telecommunications industries make China to become the one of the popular countries in the world. Due to the rapid increase of media and telecommunications industries, China can report much news in the world. However, China sometimes blocks the truth of some news, so that other countries cannot report that news. If we compare with the past, it shows that now China is better than the past.
All in all, China's Accession to the WTO can bring many impacts on its media and telecommunications industries namely having a high potential to develop, and China can open up to outside world easily. It can improve the economy and the development of China. Hence, China will become the most prosperous countries in the world.
What is the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market?
As the largest and leading search engine in the world, Google suddenly said that they would shut down the mainland-based Google.cn search services and redirect the mainland's web users to Hong Kong. The reason why Google withdrawal from China market is because there have been numerous incidents of Chinese cyber attacks in the recent years. This action made Google angry. Moreover, Google could not tolerate strict Internet censorship required by the Chinese government. As a result, Google withdrew from China market. However, it brings a lot of impacts to both Google and China.
For Google, after the withdrawal from China market, they will have a money loss. As China is a big market, Google can earn much money. However, when Google withdraw from China market, they cannot earn money as the past. It will affect the income of Google. In addition, Google will loss the experts in China. After withdrawal, the computer experts in China will lose their jobs. Google cannot bring them to other countries, thus, these experts will work for other companies.
For China, Google's exit as a powerful competitor will leave them more commercial opportunities. The companies such as Baidu, Microsoft will have more opportunities to improve their skills. Moreover, the image of China will be damaged after the withdrawal of Google from China market. Since Google is a well-known international company in the world, the withdrawal of Google will attract others’ attention. Therefore, other people will have different opinions on the withdrawal. No matter it is good or not, it will also affect the image of China.
In conclusion, the withdrawal of Google brings different impacts. For Google, the income of Google will decrease. And they will lose many experts in China. On the other hand, for China, the exit of Google can give out more opportunities for other companies in China to have competition. Also, the image of China will be damaged.
China has joined World Trade Organization which is WTO in 2002. The aims of the organization are to have trade freedom through worldwide. It also helps minimize the trade conflict and break down all trade barriers among each country. More than one hundred countries have joined the organization. It serves as a forum for trade negotiation to dispute settlement among members. Moreover, the initiation of WTO of China has influenced its media and telecommunication industries.
In terms of media and telecommunication, as China is still a developing country, it doesn’t have much power to compete and cooperate with other countries. However, China could communicate more with members through WTO because the channel of WTO is fairness. Therefore, China has an advantage of state to communicate with other countries.
Furthermore, since China’s telecommunication technology is not stronger than other big countries such as the USA and the UK, many telecommunication equipments are imported from there. With the entering of WTO, it provides a more convenient and fair way for the trading.
In addition, when the telecommunication technology is strengthened, the media industries can transfer and receive information faster. The mobility of news will increase that everyone can know more things around the world quickly. Also, direct broadcasting can be more universal in order to increase the liquidity of information.
As a result, it produces many positive impacts as China access into WTO. It minimizes time-consuming problem in trading. Without WTO, they need to have negotiation in media and telecommunication because there are law bindings.
Since the negotiation between Google and China government is failure, the China Google organization has been dismissed. Moreover, as some Google subordinates’ email was attacked by China hacker, Google don’t accept the requirement from China’s government to have filtered the searching information and it may be withdrawal from China’s market.
Firstly, as Google is a famous international company in the world, it provides good internet service in the internet. However, the foreign people who live in China have lost a channel in searching information in the internet. Since China is a communism country, they have a high prohibition of exploring information that affecting China’s Government. They will depend on other searching tools but most of them have hackers such as thunder. If they use such tools, their computers will be attacked by hackers which will cause breaking down.
In addition, this event may affect the economy of China. It may influence the decision of investment from the others. The image will be affected and they afraid to invest in China because the business of China is not stable enough. Therefore, it is a disadvantage if Google withdraw from China.
In conclusion, it brings lots of bad impact if Google withdraw from China. It is hoped that good image of China business can be built and attract more investors again
The World Trade organization aims to promote free trade and serve as a forum for multilateral trade negotiations and dispute settlement among its members. In the past, China always carried out socialist policies. It enclosed the flow of information. Therefore, most of the countries could not trade with China easily and freely. After China accession to the WTO, it helps the trading development of China. After China reforms and opening up, China can enlarge its business through trading with other countries. One of the most visible impacts of China’s Accession to the WTO is that it enhances the media and telecommunications industries.
First, through the accession to World Trade Organization, China’s media and telecommunication industry can access to world market. In order to bridge up with the world and have a good reputation to the world, China has to disclose all the things towards international. Therefore, the flow of information in China is more freely now. It is good news for the Chinese citizens that they can share feelings and express their opinions in the internet freely.
Second, as China wants to link up with the world, it gives more freedom of speech and publishing. As a result, people can know more about China’s information whatever the good or bad news. The connections between China and the world will be closer. In addition, people all around the world can get the latest information of China easier and more convenient.
To sum up, China’s Accession to the WTO enhance the freedom of media and telecommunication interaction with the outside world. Besides, it also flourishes the economic development of China especially the media and telecommunication industries.
In the recent news, it reports that Google is deciding to withdraw from China market. As Google is one of the famous websites among the world, the pull-out of Google affects China a lot.
First, as we all know, Google is a useful website which helps people search any of the information from world-wide. If Google withdraw from China, Chinese residents will be more difficult to get the information around the world. Also, they cannot know more about the truth of world events as easily as before.
Second, for the impact of economic development, the incidence of Google’s withdrawal from China’s market leads to a bad reputation on China from worldwide. Therefore, the entrepreneur may not be confident enough to have the investment in China. As a result, the economic development of China may be affected.
To conclude, I think this incident will bring a lot of negative effects such as downgrading the international status of China, decreasing of the trustworthiness of China and so on. In my opinion, I think that China should pay more attention and take some actions on this incident as it may affect the development of China.
What is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries?
In my opinion, the China’s accession to the WTO would improve the media and telecommunication industries.
To start with, we ought to get a clear concept of how the WTO manipulate. As we know, WTO aims to supervise and liberalize international trade. WTO will be empowered to regulate the governing of Chinese government so that it promotes a fair and free trade.
On the other hand, media and telecommunication industries related to WTO very much because it act as a platform for merchants to trade through modern technology. Owing to WTO entitle the right of promoting fair trade, media and telecommunication industries will be influenced too.
First, media and telecommunication industries will be benefited because the restriction on the freedom of press will be removed. Under the free flow of information, traders are allowed to swap freely via internet which leads to prosperity of this industry.
Second, in order to ensure the fair trade, the intellectual right will be protected. It strikes about the counterfeit goods in china. Although the sales of bogus goods will be dropped drastically, it arouses the awareness of intellectual right. In the long run, china will result a better image and company will be more willing to trade in china.
Third, globalization will be triggered due to connection to worldwide. With globalization, it leads to increasing integration and interdependence of firms. The firms can reinforce the cooperation between themselves. Eventually, the sales increase and the industries turn better.
All in all, the accession to the WTO has an overall nice effect. Obviously, it is a stride for china move from isolation with world countries. It is worthwhile for us to support this organization and finally we strive for a better quality of lives.
What is the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market?
For me, I do regard it as a loss as Google really bring out advantage for masses.
First, the masses can obtain various information from google which is a well-known search engine. In term of the citizen, their quality of lives boost up due to different choices they can choose. Apart from the Google, they have the right to use Baidu, SoHu or SoSo , yahoo and so on. It is conducive for them to differentiate the real and bogus news by compare them. Yet, if Google withdraw from china, people can only use the fewer search engines and may get false information.
Second, Google provides people a channel to know about the foreign website. As china government apply some restriction on the local network service, people hardly search the international news and will be isolated with the world outside.
Third, since google act as a platform for trader to swap on the internet, it more or less affects the media and telecommunication industries. In the long run, the economy of china may worsen.
To sum up, Google act a significant position of welfare of people. To prompt to a better quality of lives, we should protest withdraw of Google.
From the resource, The World Trade Organization (WTO) is an international organization designed by its founders to supervise and liberalize international trade. China joins WTO in2001.
First, after joining WTO, people have a right to express their feeling on that situation through internet or discussion which about china policy. Before joining WTO, The government had the authority to do the last modification. china government was limited the freedom of speech of people which about china political issue or the negative news that will affected the image of China. Therefore, media and telecommunications industries could not publish freely, their works would be modified until they were satisfied.
Second, in economic aspect, the media and telecommunications industries of China can do different promotions and business. Therefore, more private companies can participate in media and telecommunications industries. then they can cooperate, so that they can earn more money.
Lastly, after joining WTO, it can improve the ability to compete with other countries because the media and telecommunications industries of China can cooperate with other business, so that it will rise the capital in order to improve their facilities, so increase the competitive in the world.
To sum up, the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries is good for the media and telecommunications industries of China.
What is the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market?
First of all, as Google withdrew from China, the Chinese Netizen may lose one of the important platforms for receiving the external information. And the Chinese citizen would also have less chance to learn and meet friends through Google.
Second, it destroys the image of China. Foreign countries focus on the human rights, especially freedom of speech. However, Google's withdrawal from China market reveal China’s human right is insufficient which is violation the human rights. After the image is affected, foreign people may don’t come to China and result in decrease of economy and tourism. In conclusion, the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market bring a negative impact such as destroying the image of China and losing one of the important platforms
What is the impact of China’s Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries? According to the Wikipedia, The World Trade Organization (WTO) is an international organization designed by its founders to supervise and liberalize international trade. The organization officially commenced on January 1, 1995. First, China was one of the biggest countries of trade. According to the website of “China trade”, China’s trade amounted to 95.55 billion, that’s was an amazing number that show that China was a important of trade. Second, China was a developed country that has a lot of outstanding points that other country is far away. For example, according to the Wikipedia, China is the second largest in the world after that of the U.S. with a GDP of $8.8 trillion (2009) when measured on a purchasing power parity (PPP) basis. That shows that China was a absorptive country that attract other country to trade in China. Third, China’s media and telecommunication always apply for different companies, which make a lot of company to have the trade mark (™). And if China now is entered the WTO, which means more people in WTO can know this biggest country and have more trade with China, which make China become richer. Fourth, although China was a strong country that have a lot of outstanding advantage, but China isn’t very good in every aspect. For example, China is not good at develop media work, and when China come into WTO, she can learn more skills for trading and make herself richer and make herself be more respectful. To sum up, I think that the advantages of the media and telecommunication which China was entered the WTO is uncountable due to the benefit are too much. And also there are some advantages and disadvantages. And China needs to make one’s choice between the advantages and disadvantages and get a balance prospects.
What is the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market?
The recent news report that Google is going to withdraw from China market. Then, what is the reason behind of why Google is going to withdraw from China? We need to found it. According to Wikipedia, Google hosts and develops a number of Internet-based services and products and generates profit primarily from advertising through its Ad Words program. Google runs over one million servers in data centers around the world, and processes over one billion search requests and twenty pet bytes of user-generated data every day. And the abovementioned information has already showed the importance of Google. Then, it is the time for checking out why Google is going to withdraw from China market. In January 2010, Google dropped a bombshell on Beijing, announcing that it would rather withdraw from the country than continue to abide by the curbs on free speech. So, after this misesteem event, Google decided to withdraw from the China market. So, how will Google's withdrawal from China affect the Chinese market? First, is about the economic aspect, the obviously reason that, Google is a big searching engine that cause a lot of economic trade with other country. And due to the blackmail of China, Google decided to withdraw from the China market. Last week, Google dropped a bombshell on Beijing, announcing that it would rather withdraw from the country than continue to abide by the curbs on free speech, Google think that she was menaced by the China, so she resolved to withdraw from the China market.
Second, there are a lot of competitive opponent that have a powerful strength like Yahoo and other capability searching engine. Google think that she was overlooked by the China market and decided to withdraw from the China market.
In conclusion, Google is a powerful searching server, and she has a lot of economic trade with China, and it is faithfully that it was a big lost that Google is withdrawing from the China market.

ReplyDeleteWhat is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries?
ReplyDeleteAs China becomes one of the members in WTO, it can have many effects from it.
ReplyDeleteFirst, the media and telecommunication industries can publish the information freely for the people live in China. The China government is now blocking the information in the world to the people live in China. The people in China just can not access to some foreign websites. As the government needs to let the media and telecommunication to publish the information, so the Chinese people can definitely be benefited. For example, people can access to the
websites of the foreign organizations, which were blocked before.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, after took part in WTO, China is required to abreast of the international level of media and telecommunication, just like widen the spread of internet information and the transparency of social issues as well.

ReplyDeleteFirst, the media and telecommunications industries in China become more opened than before because of China’s accession to WTO.

ReplyDeleteAccording to Wikipedia, The World Trade Organization (WTO) is an international organization designed by its founders to supervise and liberalize international trade. The organization officially commenced on January 1, 1995 under the Marrakech Agreement, replacing the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), which commenced in 1947. China joined WTO in 2001.
ReplyDeleteFirst, the media and telecommunication’s speech are restricted by the china government.
ReplyDeleteFirstly, after China joined WTO, the international telecommunication companies from other countries will combine with the companies in China.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, after China has joined the WTO, China need to loosen the restrictions for western businessmen operating China’s media and telecommunications companies.
ReplyDeleteThere are many impact of China’s Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries.
ReplyDeleteThe World Trade Organization is a channel for each country make common consensus and it is a kind of globalization.

ReplyDeleteWhat is the impact of Google's withdrawal from China market?
ReplyDeleteSince the Google was attacked by China hacker and China restrict the freedom of speech that China don’t cancel leach of searching engine and the controlled gateways that block access to material deemed subversive or pornographic., Google is going to withdrawal from China market.
ReplyDeleteThrough fifteen years of negotiation, China has become a member of WTO officially since 11st December 2001.
ReplyDeleteIn 2001,China has been the 143rd member of World Trade Organization (WTO).
ReplyDeleteFirst, In order to follow the rules of the WTO, the publications in China which publish by the media and the telecommunications industry can widespread around the internet as they have to reach the international standard for the media and telecommunications industry.
ReplyDeleteafter China has eventually joined the WTO as the 143rd member on 11 December 2001.

ReplyDeleteFirstly, as WTO promotes equality and fairness in international trade.
ReplyDeleteThe media in China cannot enjoy freedom of speech, it needs the examination of Chinese Government before release to the public.
ReplyDeleteIn 2001, China is the 143rd member joined into the World Trade Organization (WTO).

ReplyDeleteWhat is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries?
ReplyDelete11-12-2001 has been an important date for China as it joined the World Trade Organization (also known as WTO).
ReplyDeleteSince 2001, China has become the 143rd member of World Trade Organization (WTO).
Good work, kids. Your comments are gradually getting into shape! Keep up the efforts!
ReplyDelete1.What is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries?
ReplyDeleteWhen China became one of the member in WTO, it had so many effect, including media and telecommunications industries.

ReplyDeleteWell done as a first attempt to share your opinions on the blog. You have got a lot of good points. Better still if you try to elaborate and illustrate them in more details. Good work! Keep on sharing your ideas on the blog
Mr. MUI
ReplyDeleteTo the government, joining the WTO means to open the market of telecommunication.
ReplyDeleteIn 2001, China joined the World Trade Organization (WTO).
ReplyDeleteIn terms of media and telecommunication, as China is still a developing country, it doesn’t have much power to compete and cooperate with other countries.
ReplyDeleteFirst, through the accession to World Trade Organization, China’s media and telecommunication industry can access to world market.

ReplyDeleteWhat is the impact of China's Accession to the WTO on its media and telecommunications industries?
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, the China’s accession to the WTO would improve the media and telecommunication industries.
ReplyDeleteFirst, after joining WTO, people have a right to express their feeling on that situation through internet or discussion which about china policy.
